Elin Hilderbrand É autora de 28 livros. Ela se orgulha por ter se formado em 1991 na Universidade Johns Hopkins, nos Estados Unidos, onde se graduou em Escrita Criativa.Após uma breve temporada trabalhando como editora e professora na cidade de Nova York, mudou-se em 1994 para Nantucket, uma ilha na costa leste norte-americana.
