Alex Kershaw é autor best-seller do New York Times e escreve obras sobre a Segunda Guerra Mundial. Nascido em York, na Inglaterra, formou-se na Universidade de Oxford e mora nos Estados Unidos desde 1994. Kershaw é amplamente aclamado por seus artigos e livros, recebendo diversos prêmios por suas publicações.
