Seven-year-old Alia has just moved from Karachi, Pakistan, to New York City. Both are large, busy, cities, but New York seems strange. The buildings are tall and gray, and there are lots of people walking and cars honking. During her first few days in her new home, she feels anxious. Her mom understands how difficult it is to move to a new place, and she suggests that she and Alia explore New York City a little and learn a bit more about what they can do.
