Richard Brautigan nasceu no dia 30 de janeiro de 1935, em Tacoma, Washington. É autor de dez romances, nove volumes de poesia e uma coletânea de contos. Brautigan foi um ídolo literário dos anos 1960 e começo dos 1970, cujo talento cômico e visão iconoclasta do estilo de vida americana atraíram a atenção de jovens do mundo todo. Ficou conhecido como “o último dos Beats” e seus primeiros livros se tornaram leitura obrigatória para a geração hippie. Um deus da contracultura, cometeu suicídio em Bolinas, na Califórnia, aos 49 anos. |
