Parkes, Colin Murray
Colin Murray Parkes é psiquiatra pesquisador. Escreveu e organizou inúmeros livros e artigos sobre a natureza dos vínculos e das perdas. Seu livro Luto – Estudos sobre a perda na vida adulta (Summus, 1998) é considerado um clássico e é também autor de Amor e perda (Summus, 2009). Parkes trabalhou com John Bowlby no Tavistock Institute of Human Relations e com Dame Cicely Saunders no St.Christopher's Hospice, em Londres, onde hoje é psiquiatra-consultor mérito. É presidente vitalício da organização Cruse Bereavement Care. Em 1996, recebeu a comenda da Ordem do Império Britânico pelos serviços prestados às pessoas enlutadas. É vice-presidente do International Work Group on Death, Dying and Bereavement (IWG), do qual participa desde sua fundação, na década de 1960. |
