Whencomplicatedbyarrhythmias, myocarditispresentsas arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy. When myocardial necrosisislocalizedtothesubendocardialregion, restrictivecardiomyopathy may develop. While it has not been established that hypertrophic cardiomyopathy maybeacomplicationofviral myocarditis, asymmetrical septal hypertrophy has, in fact, sometimesbeen observed in patients with myocarditis.
