Laozi

Laozi (também conhecido como Lao-Tzu e Lao-Tze), foi um filósofo e escritor da Antiga China. É conhecido por ser o autor do importante livro Dao De Jing (ou Tao Te Ching), por ser o fundador do taoismo filosófico e por ser uma divindade no taoismo religioso e nas religiões tradicionais chinesas. Embora seja uma figura lendária, Laozi é geralmente situado por volta do século VI a.C. É uma personagem-chave na cultura chinesa: tanto os imperadores da dinastia Tang como as pessoas contemporâneas do apelido Li consideram-no o fundador da sua linhagem. O trabalho de Laozi tem sido adotado por vários movimentos antiautoritários e pelo legalismo chinês.
