Berlin, Lucia
LUCIA BERLIN nasceu no Alasca, em 1936, e morreu em Marina del Rey, Califórnia, em 2004. Publicou contos em diversos periódicos e em coletâneas como Homesick (1991), que recebeu o American Book Award, e Where I Live Now (1999). Boa parte desse material foi reunida em Manual da faxineira (2015), publicado pela Companhia das Letras, que se tornou um best-seller vendido para trinta países e foi eleito um dos livros do ano por veículos como The New York Times Book Review, The Guardian, The Washington Post e El País. |
