First published in 1993, Further Education in the Market Place argues that in order to be truly successful, colleges must match sensitivity to community needs, sympathy for the educational and training needs of reluctant learners, and accessibility and responsiveness to individual differences with the sought-after emphasis on efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
