There's something perfectly normal about Heidi, and her parents don't know what do to about it! Heidi Haunt is a normal little girl of ten, which is not a good thing. You see, Heidi lives in Zombie Town. She has good zombie parents, good zombie grandparents, and a bunch of nice zombie relatives, but no friend. As an abnormal zombie with warm pink skin and pretty red hair, no one wants to be around her or wants her around. Heidi was an outcast and spent much of her time alone. Then came some help. The Zombie Council learns of a cure for her odd condition. Heidi would have to go on a quest to Fatal Forest to bring back the Morte Mushrooms. With them they could make a broth that would make her normal. So begins her journey. She has to cross Deathly Dale, home to the ghouls, sail up Rigor Mortis River alone, get through Hemoglobin Gully, where the vampires live, and only then reach the forest. Yet, still more challenges confront her, the first being two giants intent on using her to make their bread! In the end, Heidi gets home, and it's there she faces her greatest ordeal.
