Forester, C. S.
S. Forester nasceu no Cairo, em 1899. Depois de estudar medicina, conseguiu fama escrevendo livros sobre batalhas navais. Quando a Segunda Guerra Mundial começou, ele trabalhava no Ministério da Informação britânico, nos Estados Unidos. Uma de suas obras mais notórias é a série de livros sobre Horatio Hornblower, um oficial da Marinha britânica que luta nas Guerras Napoleônicas e que inspirou grandes autores, como Bernard Cornwell. Ele morreu em 1966. |
