Philippe Besson é um renomado escritor, dramaturgo e roteirista francês, nascido em 1967. Ele tem em seu currículo mais de vinte obras publicadas, com várias delas tendo ganhado adaptações para o cinema e o teatro, além de terem sido traduzidas para diversos idiomas. Sua trajetória literária começou em 2001 e, desde então, recebeu diversos prêmios, incluindo o Prêmio Emmanuel-Roblès pelo seu primeiro romance, Na ausência dos homens (Rocco, 2007), e o Grande Prêmio RTL-Lire por L’Arrière-saison, de 2002. Besson também se destaca no meio audiovisual, colaborando na criação de roteiros para filmes e séries.
