Anne Rice nasceu em 4 de outubro de 1941 em Nova Orleans, cidade onde vive atualmente e que serve de cenário para grande parte de seus romances. Formada em ciência política e escrita criativa pela Universidade de San Francisco, Rice publicou seu primeiro romance, o hoje consagrado Entrevista com o vampiro, em 1976, após a morte de sua filha Michele, vítima de leucemia. Em 2005, abandonou o ateísmo e abraçou a fé católica, iniciando uma nova fase em sua vida e carreira. |
