Kacen Callender nasceu em St. Thomas, nas Ilhas Virgens Americanas, no Caribe. Escreve histórias de fantasia e ficção contemporânea para crianças e jovens adultos. Já recebeu diversos prêmios por sua escrita, entre eles o National Book Award em Literatura Jovem e o Stonewall Honor Book, da Associação Americana de Bibliotecas, por "Felix para sempre". Callender se formou bacharel em Artes pela Sarah Lawrence College e Mestre em Belas Artes pelo programa de escrita criativa para jovens da New School, em Nova York. Atualmente também fala sobre escrita, experiências pessoais e sobre o mercado editorial em seu site. |
