Williams, John

John Edward Williams (1922-1994) foi um escritor, editor e professor estadunidense. De 1942 até 1945 serviu ao exército na China, Burma e India. Três anos depois lança Nothing But The Night, sua estreia. Professor de literatura e escrita criativa na Universidade de Denver durante trinta anos, foi nesse período que escreveu Butcher's Crossing (1960) e Stoner (1965). Seu último livro, Augustus, recebeu o National Book Award em 1973. John Williams morreu no Arkansas em 1994.
