Carlson, Marvin
Marvin Carlson é Sidney E. Cohn Professor de Teatro e Literatura Comparada no Graduate Center da City University de Nova York. É PhD pela Cornell University e lecionou nas faculdades de Cornell e Indiana antes de ingressar na CUNY. Recebeu umdoutorado honorário da Universidade de Atenas, e foi agraciado com o ATHE Career Achievement Award, o ASTR Distinguished Scholarship Award, o George Jean Nathan Award for Dramatic Criticism e o Calloway Prize por escrita em teatro e drama. Atuou como jurado no Festival de Teatro Experimental do Cairo e no Prêmio Onassis de Dramaturgia. É fundador e editor da revista Western European Stages e autor de mais de duzentos artigos acadêmicos e quatorze livros nas áreas de história do teatro, teoria teatral, literatura dramática e estudos de performance. De sua autoria, a Editora Unesp publicou Teorias do teatro (2002). |
