Findings have suggested that 4-year-olds enter school with prior knowledge of science that can be encouraged, supported and extended by an interested and committed teacher. Includes a five page book list of developmentally appropriate science books for prekindergarten and kindergarten students. Also included is a list of suggested science materials for a classroom and a list of potential grant funding sites for science supplies and non-fiction literature. This book will also guide teachers to other books that are rich in science activities for young children.
