In 2004 PMI conducted a global role delineation study to update the Project Management Professional (PMP®) credentialing examination. The study results were used to establish the Project Management Professional (PMP®) Examination Specification. This book is a resource for educators, trainers, administrators, practitioners, and individuals interested in pursuing the PMP® credential. While this book does not provide sample test questions, it does describe the tasks that PMPs perform and the knowledge and skills used to complete each task. It provides a breakdown of the credential exam contents as a guide for areas to study. It should be used in concert with other resources as part of a comprehensive examination preparation approach.
