Shelley Parker-Chan é uma ex-diplomata asiática-australiana e consultora de desenvolvimento internacional que passou quase uma década trabalhando em direitos humanos, igualdade de gênero e direitos LGBTQIA+ no Sudeste Asiático. Batizada com o nome do poeta romântico, ela foi criada com uma dieta constante de mitos gregos, lendas arturianas e contos chineses de sofrimento e romance trágico. Seu romance de estreia Ela Se Tornou o Sol deve mais do que um pouco aos três estilos. Em 2017, ela foi premiada com uma bolsa (Tiptree) por um trabalho de narrativa especulativa que expande nossa compreensão de gênero. Atualmente vive em Melbourne, Austrália, com sua família. |
