Antonio Manzini nasceu em Roma, em 1964. É escritor, ator e roteirista de cinema e televisão. Estreou na literatura com o romance Sangue marcio [Sangue podre], em 2005. Lançou Pista nera, o primeiro romance da série protagonizada por Rocco Schiavone, em 2013. A este seguiram-se mais nove livros, todos os quais chegaram ao topo das vendas na Itália e foram traduzidos em vários países.
