The year is 2219 From a failed attempt to reach the outskirts of the solar system twenty years ago with a hybrid craft stuffed with alien technology. Three young friends: Durmast Holzer, Chika Izumi and Sauba Nemec find the same craft abandoned in a hanger close to where they live, and under the pretence of using it as a flight simulator they are able to build a revolutionary drive; the Tachyon Drive. Unknown to them others are watching everything they do. Some want to help but others are not so friendly. With determination and a little luck they get the Invincible into space, and are able to rescue an alien, who becomes a friend, but doing so they have to deal with someone who wants to destroy the Invincible, and everyone on-board.
