Bunyan, John
JOHN BUNYAN (1628-1688) foi um pregador e escritor nascido em Elstow, na Inglaterra. Na juventude, levou uma vida turbulenta, mas converteu-se ao cristianismo em meados da década de 1650. Foi batizado na Igreja Batista. Tornou-se pregador e, devido à sua fé, acabou preso diversas vezes. Durante uma dessas prisões, escreveu O Peregrino.
