Only the Present tense is used as narrative tense for the first unit, then, progressively, Imperfetto and Passato prossimo, then Passato Remoto. All the steps are gradual until the moment of building complex sentences with incidental clauses, use of implicit/ explicit sentences, gerund and infinitive.Each unit is normally to be completed in two one and half-hour lessons, plus another two- hour home studying.
