BUZZY JACKSON é doutora em História pela Universidade da Califórnia em Berkeley. Escreveu outros três livros, todos de não ficção, e é membro do National Book Critics Circle. Mora nas montanhas do Colorado com a família e o cachorro, Ralph. Este é seu primeiro romance histórico.
