Author Lee Coulter and illustrator Simone Wolowiec became friends after hearing each other's accents. They are two Australians who met while ordering coffee in Encinitas, California. Lee and Simone were told by Americans that they had "cool" accents, which was funny because they felt the same about Americans. With this idea, Lee (a songwriter) and Simone (an artist) combined their love for words and pictures to create their first children's book. And if you read this out loud, COOL ACCENT!
